One of the most common programming structures is The Wizard of Oz. It has many layers and this is only a brief overview of part of what it can mean for a survivor. I’ve struggled to know if I should share it and landed on “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” John 8:32
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️
If you are a survivor, please make sure you are grounded and covered in prayer before reading as this post could trigger back parts without your awareness.
L. Frank Baum’s original Oz book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, was published in 1900. The first stage adaptation opened at the Majestic Theatre in 1903. Since then, there have been books, movies, musicals, animated versions, remakes, spinoffs, prequels and sequels and more. They say the world is a stage, and in this case, it is. The Wizard of Oz has been embedded into society for over a century with cultural references everywhere.
Nearly all survivors have at least one layer of Oz programming.
- it is visually symbolic
- each character represents a different “role” in the system
- the road (path) is easily implanted
- the colors, songs, and scenes are simple and memorable
- the themes of obedience, fear, loyalty, and going “home” are easy to map onto parts
- it is constantly replayed in society, reinforcing the programming
All the different versions and spin offs including the current Wicked: For Good that is playing in theatres can activate a survivor in multiple ways depending on the structure of their internal system:
- call-back programs
- return-home scripts
- obedience triggers
- silence reinforcement
- dissociation cues
- travel commands
- reporting programs
- punishment fear
- protector confusion
- emotional shutdown
The presenter might not have a reaction to it, but back parts know exactly what the cues and activations mean for their system. I do not recommend any survivor watch Wicked or Wicked: For Good. It’s only there to reprogram your system and keep everyone in check. It’s a way to update the Wizard of Oz programming on a mass scale.
The Scarecrow: “You Have No Brain.”
The Scarecrow believed he was brainless and worthless. He couldn’t think for himself and needed someone to tell him what to do. The occult uses this to reinforce to the survivor that they are incapable of independent thought. It keeps them in the loop of feeling confused, unable to trust their own mind, and in need of someone to tell them what to do. Then a handler steps in to meet their need without the survivor recognizing what is happening. The scarecrow reinforces dependence and obedience.
The Tin Man: The Hollow, Numb Shell
Nick Chopper, the Tin Man, was once a real human, in love and full of emotion. The Wicked Witch of the East wanted to break his spirit, so she cursed his ax, and he lost his arm, then his leg, and eventually nothing human remained. This is sometimes done in programming by convincing a soul part that they have lost their legs, etc. and by the time the torture is over, the part genuinely believes they don’t have any legs. A big part of Nick’s role that survivors identify with is that he couldn’t feel any of the losses happening. Each cut numbed him a little more until he no longer had a heart and wasn’t capable of giving or receiving love. The witch wanted him hollow, mechanical, obedient, and incapable of love. This mirrors trauma-based dissociation, and many survivors relate to it deeply.
The Lion: Power Built on Fear
Lions are symbols of strength and dominance, but the Cowardly Lion was terrified of everything. This teaches a key truth: power structures are often built on fear. It’s very hard for parts that have lived their whole lives terrified into obedience to take a risk and trust that Yeshua can keep them safe from the occult because their cult leaders convinced them that they are always watching and truly powerful. All SRA and mind control survivors will have back parts that are obeying the cult because they are utterly terrified of the consequences. They can sometimes also be afraid of the front presenting part who doesn’t know what they know or the consequences they have watched play out. The presenter needs to work with the parts to help them understand that it’s safe to share with them and that they will not punish the part for telling them no matter what kind of nightmares, flashbacks, or memories surface.
The Witch: Choosing Wickedness
In Baum’s original book, the Wicked Witch of the West was a powerful sorceress who ruled by pure terror commanding flying creatures through a magical golden cap. When Dorthy landed in the realm of Oz and her house landed on the witch’s sister, the witch saw Dorothy as a threat. The witch chose wickedness because she wanted absolute domination and endless power. It’s easy to see how this mirrors real world abusers who know what they are doing and still choose evil. They willingly choose darkness, cruelty, and power and they don’t care who gets hurt in the process.
This is where survivors can get stuck in unforgiveness, bitterroot judgements, and hate which gives the enemy an open door to torment them and keep them in bondage. Part of deprogramming is working through the memories and getting to a place of true forgiveness. This is very difficult in the beginning, but as you work through the layers, you eventually start to realize that you also have back parts that need forgiveness for the horrible things that they had to do. Most people in the occult went through their own abuse as a child and a lot of them do not see a way out. They are just as trapped as we were. My main abuser went through horrible abuse as a child. This is not something you just wake up one day and walk out of unscathed. We needed support and for someone to help us sort out the truth. This brought me to the decision that I needed to leave it up to Yahweh to hold them accountable for their actions. I could choose forgiveness because I know He is my vindicator, but also because I know He knows their heart and maybe they would want to get out too if they were given a chance. Maybe, because I choose to forgive and break all those demonic ties, they will have more of a chance to find freedom too.
The Wizard – Smoke, Mirrors, and Illusion
The Wizard was never powerful at all. He was just a frightened man hiding behind curtains so that he could use theatrics to create the illusion of being powerful. This represents how cult leaders, programmers, overseers, and the elite hold power through manipulation, deception and fear. They work very hard to convince survivors that Satan has more power than Yeshua, but it is all smoke and mirrors. Yeshua came that we may have life and have it more abundantly through Him because He has overcome the world. That includes Satan, who Yahweh created. Satan has his power in this world, and his manipulation and deception feels like a lot, but it will never be too much for Yeshua.
The Yellow Brick Road: A Path of Control
Most people believe the Yellow Brick Road helps Dorothy find her way. But the truth is this:
The road was never meant to guide her; it was meant to control her movements.
It is a command, a programmed route, a pattern of obedience, a dissociative pathway, and a travel script to move the survivor where the handler wants them to go. For many survivors, it means return to base, return to handlers, go to the hive, go back home, and keep silent or you will have consequences.
This is why the holiday season is so dangerous.
Holiday Season: The “Return Home / Call-Back” Program
During Thanksgiving and Christmas, Wizard of Oz is used heavily for call-back programming. This year, they are specifically using Wicked: For Good. Remember it’s embedded into society at a deep level. Stores, restaurants, and theatres embrace it. Handlers know this and our systems know this.
That’s why, in places like Walmart will have a bunch of TVs at the front of their store all playing The Wizard of Oz or Wicked right as the season begins. It plays every year around Thanksgiving. This can activate parts, trigger obedience, create dissociation, pull survivors to report, reinforce silence, and try to call them back home. The Yellow Brick Road is also used to dissociate and “travel to other realms,” making it a powerful activation script. Even if you aren’t going home in the natural, you need to make sure you don’t have parts going in the astral realm.
